The authorities of the Samara region have extended the exemption from paying regional income tax for AvtoVAZ until the end of 2028. The decision was made as part of supporting participants in special investment contracts.
The new measure will allow the company to save funds for investment and not resort to additional loans.
The regional government stated that the benefit will help ensure the "sustainable development of the enterprise" and reduce the burden during the modernization of production facilities.
According to officials' estimates, the Samara region's budget will not receive about 133 million rubles in tax revenues in 2026 alone.
However, the authorities consider this a "small price" for maintaining stability and developing the domestic automotive industry.
