One of the most common problems faced by owners of Chery Tiggo crossovers is the steering rack. Characteristic knocks may appear already at a mileage of about 60–70 thousand km. This was reported by Andrey Kuzin, head of the Fit Service "Yaroslavskoe Shosse" car service.
According to the expert, the cause of the knocks is most often associated with rapid wear of the assembly, which is affected by the quality of roads and driving style.
In addition, the Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 8 have accelerated wear of the silent blocks of the front levers, especially the rear vertical ones. Typical malfunctions also include problems with anti-roll bars and ball joints.
When buying used Tiggo, experts recommend planning in advance for suspension maintenance costs. At the same time, the engines of the models are considered quite reliable, as are the electronics and attachments. Gearbox failures are rare, Kuzin added.
In general, Chery's service maintenance in terms of cost and frequency is comparable to competitors, and the weaknesses of Tiggo models have been well studied - no serious problems have yet been identified by owners.
