Lada car production at AvtoVAZ's Togliatti plant is projected to decrease by 40% compared to last year, reaching 274,000 vehicles in 2025. This estimate was presented in materials for a meeting of Togliatti's representative body.
It is forecasted that the car factory's shipped output in monetary terms will amount to 464.5 billion rubles this year, which is 27.7% less than the previous year.
AvtoVAZ produces Lada Granta, Iskra, Vesta Niva Travel and Legend, as well as Aura cars in Togliatti. Next year, it plans to launch mass production of the new Lada Azimut crossover there.
Total sales of passenger cars in Russia in January–October this year decreased by 19.9% to 1.06 million units.
