The head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, has come up with an initiative to extend the requirement for the purchase of Russian-made cars for state and municipal needs to state-owned companies and other legal entities controlled by the authorities. He announced his proposal at a round table in the Federation Council.
Sokolov recalled that the state has already introduced fairly stringent localization requirements for the purchase of cars for government bodies.
Of course, this requirement should also be extended to all state-owned companies and other legal entities that are controlled by the state.
He noted that fundamental political decisions on this issue were made a long time ago. Currently, it is necessary to strengthen control over the execution of the President's instructions and fine-tune the regulatory framework.
