In 2025, the average prices for new Lada cars decreased by approximately 5%. This was announced by the president of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov.
According to the head of the company, the decrease looks unusual against the background of the general increase in prices in the economy, but for the Lada brand, sales and revenue statistics show the opposite trend.
This seems quite strange, because prices are rising everywhere, in any segment — food, prices for services are increasing everywhere.
Prior to this, Sokolov admitted the necessity of indexing prices due to the increase in production costs. The company is recording an increase in the cost of components, logistics, and production processes. Nevertheless, in 2025, the automaker held the price tag and even lowered it for a number of models.
Lada cars retain the status of the most affordable new cars in the Russian market. In the budget up to 1 million rubles, buyers can purchase Lada Granta in three trim levels, as well as the basic version of the Niva Legend SUV.
