The Russian car market showed a noticeable cooling in November 2025. According to the analytical agency "Autostat", 588.7 thousand used cars were sold in the country, which is immediately 9.9% less than in October. This is one of the most significant monthly declines of the year.
At the same time, in annual terms, the market is still in positive territory: sales increased by 12.2% compared to November 2024. Experts explain this by the high base effect of last year and the general restructuring of demand — buyers are increasingly postponing deals, waiting for more favorable offers.
Lada traditionally remained the leader of the secondary market — 134.7 thousand cars of this brand were sold in November. Toyota, Kia, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Nissan are next in the ranking of the most popular brands. Chevrolet, BMW, Honda and Renault also made it into the top ten.
Against the background of the overall decline, the electric vehicle segment stands out in particular. According to "Autostat", sales of electric vehicles in the secondary market increased by 57% in a month.
Analysts attribute this to the expansion of supply, lower prices for individual models, and the growing interest of buyers in saving on fuel and maintenance.
