In the Samara region, footage from the scene of a serious accident has been published, in which a Lada Granta was critically damaged after colliding with a heavy truck. The accident occurred on the afternoon of January 9, 2026, at the 377th kilometer of the "Kazan - Buinsk - Ulyanovsk" highway, according to the regional traffic police department.
According to the traffic police, the driver of the Lada Granta drove into the oncoming lane in a place where such a maneuver is permitted by traffic rules. After that, a head-on collision with a truck occurred.
As a result of the accident, two passengers of the car died. The driver and another passenger with injuries of varying severity were hospitalized. Currently, police officers are establishing all the circumstances and causes of the incident.
Footage from the scene of the accident was published by the Telegram channel "They will understand in Tatarstan". The video shows that the rear of the car is completely destroyed: the body is deformed, and the luggage compartment is torn off from the main body. The damage indicates an extremely high impact force during the collision.
