The new Lada Azimut crossover will be released on the market in the fourth quarter of 2026. This was announced at a press conference by the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov. According to him, the preparation of the model has already moved into a practical phase, and the serial production of the car is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026. Thus, only a few months will pass between the start of assembly and the appearance of cars at dealers.
The plant prefers not to disclose the cost of Azimut in advance. Maxim Sokolov noted that the price will be determined as late as possible, focusing on the market situation. It is known that the crossover will receive two versions of power units with a capacity of 120 and 132 hp. They will be combined with both a manual gearbox and an automatic transmission or a CVT; the final decision on the type of "automatic" has not yet been made.
The public premiere of Lada Azimut took place at SPIEF-2025, where the model was shown as one of the most technologically advanced cars of the brand. The crossover will be equipped with a set of options previously rare for Russian cars: wireless charging for smartphones, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, heated side windows, all-round cameras and a system for selecting driving modes for different road conditions.
