Chinese company Xiaomi has registered a trademark in Russia that allows the brand to be used for the sale of cars, charging stations for electric vehicles, and various automotive components. This information appeared in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property. The application was submitted by the parent structure "Xiaomi Inc" from Beijing and has already received official registration.
The exclusive right to the trademark will be valid until August 1, 2035. At the same time, the list of classes indicates that the brand can be used not only for the sale of cars, but also for a wide range of related products and solutions in the automotive field, including infrastructure and components.
Currently, Xiaomi already has its own line of electric vehicles. The company produces the SU7 electric sedan, including its boosted version SU7 Ultra, as well as the YU7 crossover. Registration of a trademark in Russia formally opens the possibility for the introduction of these models and other automotive products of the brand to the Russian market in the future.
