Toyota car imports to Russia by the end of 2025 increased by 12% and reached 127.8 thousand cars. This was announced by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency.
Of the total supply, new cars up to three years old accounted for 30.3 thousand units. Their import increased by 40% over the year. The volume of imports of used cars older than three years amounted to 97.5 thousand units, an increase of 6%.
According to the expert, more than 80% of new Toyota cars imported into Russia were assembled in China. Among used cars, the share of Chinese assembly was 13.3%. In the segment of new cars, only 5.1% had right-hand drive, while among used cars this figure reached 83.6%.
Half of the new Toyotas were delivered to Russia through Kyrgyzstan, and about a third were imported directly from China. Used cars mainly came from Japan - this country accounted for 71% of supplies. The remaining cars were imported from China, the UAE, Georgia and South Korea.
The most popular models among new cars were RAV4, Highlander, Camry, Corolla and Land Cruiser Prado. In the segment of used cars, Corolla, Yaris, Wish, RAV4 and Raize were most often imported.
