In Russia, there is no fine for using headphones while driving a car. Even when listening to loud music, the driver does not violate traffic rules. This was announced by auto expert Dmitry Popov.
He explained that the current legislation does not contain a ban on the use of headphones while driving. Moreover, the rules allow drivers with hearing impairments to drive a car, provided that a special identification mark is placed on the rear window.
The expert recalled that motorists have the right to install music systems in the cabin and use them while driving.
And people can listen to music loudly in the car at their discretion. There is no such prohibition in the traffic rules.
Popov stressed that responsibility can only occur if the driver loses control of the traffic situation due to headphones and violates other traffic rules.
Thus, the use of headphones in itself does not entail penalties and is not limited by current rules.
