Toyota Motor intends to increase global hybrid sales by 30% to 6.7 million vehicles per year within the next two years. Overall, the concern expects to increase global sales by 10% compared to 2025, reaching 11.3 million vehicles annually.
Last year, two out of every three hybrid vehicles sold worldwide were manufactured by Toyota Motor. Despite this, the company believes that the demand for hybrid models is far from exhausted and sees significant potential for further growth.
Currently, hybrid versions are offered on key models of the brand, including Toyota Camry, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Hilux, and Toyota RAV4. In the future, the lineup will be expanded both in terms of the number of models and types of powertrains.
The concern intends to cover all niches of hybrid technologies. This includes mild, series, parallel, and plug-in hybrids.
