The Bryansk company "BN-motors" is completing assembly of the first motorhome of its own design. The camper is being created on the basis of the light-duty FAW T80, which in Russia is also known as the BNM Model 1. The planned price is 3.9 million rubles.
Previously, "BN-motors" assembled Chinese FAW T80 and BAW T7 trucks in Bryansk. The project was halted after the increase in the recycling fee, but some of the vehicles were produced and continue to be sold. Now the company has decided to use the one-ton FAW T80 chassis to create a motorhome in the price segment of up to 4 million rubles.
The production contractor is "Avtokemper Prom," with a site in Samara. The head of "BN-motors," Aleksei Podshchekoldin, said that his company is the customer and rights holder of the project.
The first unit is planned to be completed by the end of March. Based on it, the company intends to assess demand. According to Podshchekoldin, at a price of 3.9 million rubles, the vehicle may become the only offering in this segment: other Russian campers either cost more or are built on more compact chassis.
