Yandex Go electric scooters have begun to be assembled at the Moskvich plant in Moscow: the pilot batch will produce 2000 devices.
The project is being implemented by Yandex in conjunction with the Moscow Department of Transport. The launch was announced by Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov.
The scooters are fully developed within Yandex. The Moskvich plant performs large-node assembly from 118 components, checks electronics, brakes and wheels. After that, the devices are tested on a special track.
As part of the test, 2000 scooters will be produced, which will be launched on the line this season. In the future, it is planned to increase the level of localization and create a fully Russian platform.
According to the authorities, in 2025 Moscow made more than 71 million trips on electric scooters. At the same time, the number of accidents involving rental devices decreased by 54% in 10 months, and accidents involving children decreased by 68%.
