KamAZ has launched a new evacuator based on the K5 chassis, which has become the most heavy-duty among Russian developments. The model was created jointly with the company "Kuzovostroite" and presented at the forum "Ecology of a Big City" in St. Petersburg.
More and more heavy road trains, quarry equipment and overloaded trucks are appearing on the roads. When such machines get into accidents or break down, standard tow trucks cannot cope. Responding to the market demand, we decided to develop a tow truck capable of working with equipment of extreme weight – up to 60 tons.
The novelty is built on a four-axle chassis KAMAZ-65951 of the K5 generation. This platform was chosen due to its high technical characteristics and is designed for heavy operating conditions. The use of the new chassis made it possible to create an evacuator with increased load capacity, which makes it the largest representative of this segment among domestic models.
The launch of such an evacuator reflects the development of the K5 line and the expansion of the platform's use in specialized equipment.
