Dreame Created a Car with Rocket Boosters

The company unveiled the Nebula Next 01 with 0-100 km/h acceleration in 0.9 seconds

Chinese Dreame Technology announced its entry into the automotive industry at an event in Silicon Valley. The company unveiled its first car — the Nebula Next 01 Jet Edition. A key feature is a system of two solid-fuel rocket boosters, providing extreme dynamics — 0-100 km/h in 0.9 seconds.

The power plant develops thrust up to 100 kN and reacts in 150 ms. Engineers adapted aerospace technologies for civilian use. Control is carried out through electronic systems that ensure a balance between power and safety.

The car is equipped with a sulfide-based solid-state battery with an energy density of more than 450 Wh/kg. The claimed range exceeds 550 km according to the CLTC cycle. The technology is in the preparation phase for mass production.

The chassis is built on a steer-by-wire architecture with a response time of less than 1 ms and support for complex maneuvers, including on-the-spot turns and stabilization in case of tire damage. The autonomous driving system uses VLA models with environment recognition and self-learning functions.

The DHX1 lidar with 4320 lines of resolution can detect objects up to 600 meters away. It recognizes small objects, including traffic cones and animals, at a distance of up to 300 meters.
