Hyundai presented the concept of a new electric minivan Neira at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2026. Despite its novelty status, the car turned out to be an almost complete copy of the Kia Carens Clavis EV already sold in India, differing only in emblems and a few exterior elements.

The Hyundai Neira is 4,550 mm long and its body is designed for seven passengers. Externally, the model retains the characteristic proportions and LED optics of Kia. Among the differences are Hyundai's proprietary logos, a modified front bumper with narrow air intakes, silver decorative elements on the plastic body kit, and an original wheel rim design.

The interior also almost completely replicates the Carens Clavis EV. The car received a digital panel with two 12.3-inch displays, a three-row layout, and a steering wheel with Hyundai's signature four dots. The only noticeable difference was the black color of the seat trim.

Hyundai has not yet officially disclosed the technical specifications. However, if the production version retains Kia's powertrains, buyers will be offered two power units. The base version is equipped with an electric motor with 135 hp and a 42 kWh battery, while the older modification develops 171 hp, uses a 51.4 kWh battery, and provides a range of up to 490 km.

The company currently positions the Neira exclusively as an electric vehicle. At the same time, Kia also produces the Carens Clavis with 1.5-liter gasoline and diesel engines, but there is no information yet about the appearance of similar versions under the Hyundai brand.
