Geely will present the Monjaro EM-i at the Paris Motor Show on October 12. This is the first European premiere of the new hybrid version of the large crossover. For the European market, the model will become the flagship D-segment SUV.

The Monjaro EM-i received a 1.5-liter hybrid engine and electric motors. The total system power reaches 340 hp, and all-wheel drive is implemented according to the e-AWD scheme — due to the electric power plant. The crossover accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.83 seconds. The declared electric range reaches 130 km, but this figure is calculated according to the old NEDC cycle.
The main technical change is hidden under the body. The original Monjaro is built on the CMA architecture, related to the Volvo XC40. The EM-i version switches to the newer GEA Evo platform, designed for Geely's electrified models. The wheelbase remains the same — 2845 mm.
The familiar body is already used for other models. In South Korea, Renault produces the Grand Koleos on its basis with a 245 hp hybrid setup. In Russia, this car is known as the Volga K50, but the domestic version is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 238 hp, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and all-wheel drive.
