Lada Azimut, recently presented at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, may go beyond the Russian market. AvtoVAZ has confirmed plans to export the model, but has not yet disclosed which countries it will be supplied to and when sales will begin. The company notes that Azimut has the potential to enter foreign markets, but it is too early to talk about the details - everything will become clear after the start of sales in the country.
The new crossover is built on the Vesta platform and received almost a thousand unique components, including body elements, lighting equipment and rear suspension. Production is scheduled for 2026. Among the available options are a panoramic roof with a sunroof, an electric trunk, heated windows, two-zone climate control and a 360-degree camera. The basic equipment already includes multimedia with a 10-inch screen, a digital instrument panel with navigation, a keyless entry system and LED optics.
At the start, the model will receive two naturally aspirated engines with a volume of 1.6 and 1.8 liters (120 and 132 hp) in combination with a 6-speed "mechanics" or a variator. Later, a version with a 150 hp turbo engine and a classic automatic is expected.
The price of the new product has not yet been announced.
As part of the AvtoVAZ open day, the promising Lada Azimut crossover was shown to the general public. This is already the second copy of the new model, which was assembled at the factory.
