Lada Iskra from AvtoVAZ is better than Lada Granta and Lada Vesta in a number of characteristics, according to auto expert Maxim Cherkashin.
According to him, the success of Lada Iskra lies in a more modern platform. Unlike Vesta and Granta, the Iskra base allows for the installation of other engines, useful electronic driver assistants, and more modern multimedia. Also, the new car has a much higher level of passive safety.
The specialist notes that in terms of comfort, Granta is a purely functional car. In contrast, Lada Vesta has a more European appearance and a more spacious interior.
At the same time, inside Lada Iskra, there is less usable space than in Vesta, but more than in Granta. The more modern architecture of the "Iskra" made it possible to make the interior much more practical.
In addition, Lada Iskra has improved sound insulation, the plastic in the cabin is hard, but does not cause rejection. Also, new seats with improved anatomy are installed in the cabin. Sales of Lada Iskra officially started on July 20, 2025 in Tolyatti, Moscow and St. Petersburg. The car is available in two bodies - sedan and station wagon.
