Moscow is actively developing infrastructure for electric vehicles. Since the beginning of 2025, as part of the "Energy of Moscow" project, the city has installed 75 new charging stations in more than 20 districts. The Central Administrative District is the leader in the number of new points, and stations have also appeared in the Western, Northern, North-Western, Southern, and South-Western districts. Of these, 16 are fast DC stations with a capacity of 150 kW, capable of charging two cars simultaneously in approximately 30 minutes. Such points are located in areas with high traffic density.
There are currently over 17,000 electric vehicles on the capital's roads, and the total number of charging stations exceeds three thousand, of which 350 were created thanks to the "Energy of Moscow" project. Demand for infrastructure is growing, and the city is preparing for an increase in the electric vehicle fleet.
By 2030, according to the transport strategy, Moscow plans to install up to 35,000 EV chargers to serve the projected 320,000 electric vehicles — about 7% of the car fleet. The "Energy of Moscow" project will provide more than four thousand stations, and 500 fast 150 kW EV chargers will be added annually.
