The average car loan size in Russia in the third quarter of 2025 was about 1.2 million rubles. This was reported by experts from the Pango Cars automotive system.
The average interest rate on loans reached 26% per annum. Most often, Russians took out loans for a period of about 6.2 years. The most popular were 2017 Lada cars.
The domestic brand accounted for 14% of all transactions. Second and third places in the ranking of popular brands were traditionally taken by Korean manufacturers — Kia (12%) and Hyundai (11%).
Among the specific models, the most popular were Kia Rio, Hyundai Solaris and Lada Granta, which are characterized by low cost of ownership and availability of spare parts, which is especially important for the used car market.
At the same time, almost every fifth transaction (19%) was for cars no more than 5 years old, while the share of cars aged 15 to 20 years was 16%.
