Russian-Assembled JAC T9 Pickups Appear at Dealers: There's a Catch with the Appearance

The cars look exactly the same as those for the Chinese market

Production of the JAC T9 pickup has begun in Russia, and domestically assembled units have already appeared in one of the dealerships. This is reported by Quto.

A representative of the car dealership noted that the manufacturer of the localized JAC pickups is "Automobile Industrial Technologies," a company belonging to the Sollers Group.

According to him, the Russian-assembled cars look exactly the same as the versions imported from China. The cost of the car is the same regardless of the country of origin.

Officially, JAC has not yet announced the start of T9 assembly in Russia, but at the beginning of the year, it reported such plans.

In September, the first batches of Sollers ST9 pickups rolled off the assembly line at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, according to the Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region, Alexei Russkikh. This model is based on the JAC T9. Sales of the ST9 began in early October, and the model is available in configurations priced from 3.5 million and 3.58 million rubles.
