The minimum factory resource of the Lada car engine is 220 thousand kilometers, but in practice the indicator strongly depends on the driver himself. This was announced by AvtoVAZ engineer Grigory Lychev.
According to him, the durability of the engine is directly related to the operating mode and proper maintenance by the owner.
Timely maintenance, calm driving style and high-quality fuel are the basis of engine durability.
Lychev advised to carefully run-in a new car, always warm up the engine before driving in winter, refuel at trusted gas stations with fuel with the required octane number, use high-quality oil and not save on consumables.
Special attention should be paid to interservice intervals and behavior during start-up. As Lychev emphasized, there are two main mistakes that quickly reduce the resource - untimely maintenance and constant operation at high speeds, especially with an unheated engine.
