In Russia, you can buy the third-generation Toyota Sienta compact van, which is supplied from Japan through parallel imports. This model, extremely popular in its homeland, could become an affordable alternative to Chinese seven-seater crossovers.
For example, a company from Khabarovsk offers to bring a new 2025 Sienta for 1,700,000 rubles. Judging by the photo, we are talking about a version with rich equipment: a digital instrument panel, a 10.5-inch multimedia system display, a button-based engine start, climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a leather steering wheel.
Under the hood is a hybrid setup: a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with 91 hp, an 80 hp electric motor, a CVT, and a small 6.5 A·h battery. The drive is front, although all-wheel drive versions with an additional electric motor on the rear axle are also available in Japan.
A simpler configuration in Vladivostok is estimated at 2.4 million rubles. Against this background, even the basic Chery Tiggo 8 Pro Max and Geely Okavango for 3-3.7 million look frankly expensive. The Toyota Sienta remains a rare example of an inexpensive and practical Japanese family car.
