AvtoVAZ has unblocked sales in the dealer network of a limited batch of Lada Largus, which required additional verification of one of the valves. The production of cars of this model continues in planned volumes.
As a result of tests on public roads, a test site and in a climatic chamber, AvtoVAZ found that a special fluid from one of the suppliers, used in the operation of the valve, may eventually exhibit reduced viscosity, which leads to the need for additional warm-up of the car before starting to drive.
AvtoVAZ specialists conducted tests of cars using fluids from other suppliers, among which a sample was selected that fully meets the technical requirements for viscosity and maintaining these characteristics over time. AvtoVAZ has developed a procedure for correcting and preventing the identified feature.
The company sent recommendations to the Lada dealer network, and deliveries of new technical fluid have started. Sales of a limited batch of "Largus" have been restored. Now AvtoVAZ is preparing a corresponding service campaign.
Earlier, Rosstandart sent AvtoVAZ a notification about Lada Largus non-compliance with safety requirements. The reason was mass complaints from drivers — with the onset of cold weather, the steering wheel "jams".
