Chery Enters the Robotics Market

The company introduced the Mornine M1 humanoid robot for 3.2 million rubles

Chery launched the Mornine M1 humanoid robot through its subsidiary AiMoga. Sales started on April 13, 2026 on the JD.com platform, the price is 285,800 yuan (3,188,000 rubles).

The robot is 167 cm tall and weighs 70 kg and is equipped with 40 degrees of freedom. The maximum speed reaches 1 m/s, the load on the manipulators is up to 1.5 kg. A 0.7 kWh battery provides up to two hours of operation with the same charging time.

The perception system includes lidar, depth cameras, a wide-angle camera, and ultrasonic sensors. M1 supports collaborative work with hands, remote control via VR, and performing tasks such as opening car doors.

The company also offers the Argos X1 robot dog for 15,800 yuan (176,000 rubles). Deliveries will begin in May 2026.

Chery is developing offline sales through dealers and a combined network: specialized stores, car dealerships and shopping centers. Leasing and installment plans are available.

Against the backdrop of the growing humanoid robotics market, automakers are increasing investment in the industry. Xpeng and GAC are also preparing for mass production of robots. According to estimates, the market in China will grow by 94% in 2026.
