The company received 3,100 orders in an hour

The Toyota bZ7 electric sedan received 3,100 orders in the first hour of sales in China thanks to a starting price of 147,800 yuan (1,653,000 rubles). The model became Toyota's flagship EV for the Chinese market and is produced as part of the GAC-Toyota joint venture. With a length of 5,130 mm and a wheelbase of 3,020 mm, the sedan is larger than the Tesla Model S, but costs less than even the Tesla Model 3, whose price starts at 236,500 yuan (2,645,000 rubles).

In the top trim, the bZ7 costs up to 199,800 yuan (2,235,000 rubles). Output is 278 hp, with 71 and 88 kWh batteries available and a range of up to 710 km under the CLTC cycle. Fast charging adds up to 300 km in 10 minutes.

The cabin is equipped with a 15.6-inch screen running Huawei's HarmonyOS, a head-up display, and \"zero-gravity\" seats with heating, ventilation, and massage. There is also integration with the Xiaomi ecosystem.

The driver assistance system includes a lidar, 5 radars, 11 cameras, and 10 ultrasonic sensors — 27 sensors in total.
