Xiaomi Auto has revealed new details about the Skynomad hybrid crossover lineup, whose official technical debut will take place on July 30. The manufacturer for the first time spoke about the new Kunlun architecture and the Kunlun Range Extender system.
The powertrain is based on a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with a power of 112 kW (152 hp), developed jointly with Harbin Dongan Auto Engine. The engine acts as a generator for recharging the traction battery and supports gasoline with an octane rating of AI-92, AI-95, and AI-98. According to Xiaomi, the minimum fuel consumption after battery discharge according to the WLTC cycle is 5.7 l/100 km.
At the same time, the company announced that the range extender system and the electric powertrain will receive an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty, and scheduled maintenance after the first visit will be required only once every three years or every 30,000 km.
According to certification data, the Skynomad N90 Max is 5,285 mm long, has a wheelbase of 3,080 mm, and will be offered in five-seater and seven-seater 2+2+3 configurations. Two electric motors develop 210 and 100 kW, and a 76 kWh battery provides up to 370 km of electric range according to the WLTC cycle.
The more compact Skynomad N70 Max, 4,960 mm long, will receive versions with one or two electric motors, 52 or 76 kWh batteries, and a range from 265 to 380 km depending on the configuration.
