MG, part of the SAIC concern, has started accepting pre-orders for the new MG 07 electric liftback. The new model will be available in five trim levels at prices ranging from 125,900 to 165,900 yuan (approximately 1.5–2 million rubles). The official sales launch is scheduled for August, with deliveries of higher-end versions with 800-volt architecture beginning in October.
The MG 07 belongs to the mid-size car segment. Its length is 4,886 mm, width is 1,900 mm, height is 1,478 mm, and the wheelbase reaches 2,825 mm. The car features a sloping roofline, hidden door handles, a 697-liter trunk, and an additional 168-liter front compartment.
The interior is equipped with a 15.6-inch central display, a compact digital instrument cluster, and a multimedia system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P processor. Other features include up to 34 storage compartments, ventilated and heated seats, an audio system with up to 21 speakers, and a passenger seat with a “zero-gravity” mode.
The base version uses a 67 kWh battery with a semi-solid-state electrolyte, developed by SAIC's subsidiary Qingtao. The 176 kW (236 hp) electric motor drives the front wheels, providing acceleration to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and a range of up to 650 km according to the CLTC cycle.
Higher trim levels received a 91 kWh CATL battery, 800-volt electrical architecture, and support for ultra-fast 5C charging. The maximum range reaches 845 km according to the CLTC cycle, and the 235 kW (315 hp) engine reduces the 0-100 km/h acceleration time to 5.9 seconds. These versions are also equipped with adaptive suspension.
Lidar-equipped versions use a driver assistance system based on Momenta technologies, including Navigate on Autopilot (NOA) and automatic parking.
