AvtoVAZ has resumed operations after a single corporate vacation. Over three weeks, more than 13 thousand works were completed at the production sites, and the total costs exceeded 375 million rubles. The vacation took place from July 29 to August 16.

The main focus was on preparing facilities for the serial production of Lada Azimut. Modernization affected the welding shop and the main assembly line. Production of the new crossover is expected to start in 2026.

A separate set of works was carried out for Niva Legend. AvtoVAZ is preparing to produce a version with galvanized body parts and a new 1.8-liter engine. The goal is to reach the design capacity for the updated modification.

The three-week shutdown in this case was not just routine maintenance. For the plant, this is a technical window before changing the production program: equipment is being updated simultaneously, and conditions are being created for the production of new car versions.

Azimut is especially important. This is a new compact Lada crossover, developed on the basis of the Vesta architecture. About 1000 new components have been prepared for the model, and its launch will be one of the key stages in updating the brand's model range.
