BMW has unveiled the new, eighth generation of the 3 Series, which ushers one of the brand's key models into the Neue Klasse era. The exterior now features a unified style for both electric and gasoline versions: an elongated body, short overhangs, wide wheel arches, and a new interpretation of the signature front end.

The main feature is that different powertrains have received a common visual language. The all-electric sedan is called the BMW i3, while the conventional 3 Series retains gasoline engines with a 48-volt mild hybrid system. A plug-in hybrid will be added to the range later.

The top gasoline version will be the M350 xDrive with a 3.0-liter inline-six, 437 hp, all-wheel drive, and acceleration to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. It will also feature a new Drift Moment function, which will appear in 2027.

But the most noticeable changes have occurred inside. All versions have received BMW Panoramic iDrive, the BMW Operating System X, and a new concept for interacting with the car. The equipment also includes a modern SAE Level 2 assistant system.

American sales will start in the first quarter of 2027. The base BMW 330 is priced from $49,900 (about 4.2 million rubles), the electric i3 50 xDrive from $61,500 (5.2 million rubles) excluding delivery.
