Belarusian brand Belgee is launching sales of the X80 hybrid crossover from September 25, adding a fourth model to its lineup. The car, which is a localized version of the Geely Galaxy Starship 7, will be available in both Belarus and Russia. According to the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, the BelGee plant plans to produce about 90,000 cars in 2025, and the X80 will be an important part of this program.
The Belgee X80 is equipped with a hybrid power plant, including a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor on the front axle with a capacity of 218 hp. On pure electricity, the crossover is able to travel about 100 km, and the total range reaches 940 km according to the WLTC cycle. The dimensions of the car are 4740 × 1905 × 1685 mm, the wheelbase is 2755 mm. The design repeats the Geely Galaxy Starship 7: streamlined body, LED jumper between the headlights, a single lamp on the stern and a minimalist interior with two displays and a steering column transmission lever.
The cost of the X80 has not yet been announced, but it is expected to be higher than the Belgee X70, but lower than the Geely EX5 electric car. The model is undergoing the final stage of certification and will begin to be assembled at the BelGee plant in the third quarter of 2025 using the large-node assembly method. The launch of the X80 on the Russian market is planned shortly after the start of sales in Belarus, which confirms the brand's focus on export.
