AvtoVAZ is ready to launch Lada assembly plants abroad, but without preferential lending and at the current key rate, the projects are economically impractical. This was stated by the company's president, Maxim Sokolov.
As part of its export strategy, AvtoVAZ is ready today to open up to seven assembly plants for Lada cars abroad: three in the CIS countries, and two each in Africa and the Middle East.
The company's president emphasized that at present, the creation of transport industrial projects is simply not economically feasible.
Sokolov recalled that at the end of 2024, AvtoVAZ increased Lada exports by more than four times, sending over 20,000 cars abroad. According to the plan, in 2025 the company expects to export about 30,000 cars, provided that the ruble exchange rate returns to the levels of the end of 2024.
