The Gorky Automobile Plant has begun installing galvanized body side panels on medium-duty trucks of the GAZ Gazon Next and GAZ Sadko Next families. According to Motor magazine, the upgraded platforms are used on vehicles produced since March 2026.
In addition, before painting, the parts undergo cathodic electrodeposition priming — a technology for applying a protective coating by electro-deposition in a voltage-charged bath. This treatment increases the metal's resistance to corrosion and extends the service life of the truck platform.
Previously, the plant introduced a similar solution on light-duty models. In November 2025, galvanized side panels were fitted to GAZel and Sobol vehicles of all generations — Business, Next, and NN.
As a result, all flatbed trucks of the Nizhny Novgorod manufacturer — GAZel, Sobol, Gazon, and Sadko — are now equipped with platforms featuring anti-corrosion protection.
