Some AvtoVAZ employees have been transferred to "household work on Fridays." Now machine operators remove shavings, paint equipment, and manually clean basements of grease.
Company managers assure that the measure is temporary and necessary in order not to dismiss people.
We were told: this is just household work, nothing complicated. But in reality, we carry bags of shavings, breathe dust.
According to the workers, there is no ventilation in the basements, and major repairs of the premises have not been carried out for years. At the same time, cast iron shavings, grease, and metal vapors accumulate there. Old conveyors often break down, and people have to manually remove the coolant every couple of hours.
The reason for the new scheme is simple - in order not to lose people, management proposed "household work on Fridays." Participation promises up to 16 thousand rubles for 32 hours, but not everyone gets a place.
Earlier, AvtoVAZ stated that theyare not going to return to a five-day work week until the end of 2025.
