The JAC T9 pickup is preparing to enter the Russian market in a new Urban modification. After the appearance of the diesel version, the model will receive another update focused on more comfortable operation in the city without abandoning the possibilities outside the asphalt. Information about the launch of the configuration is published on the official website of the Chinese brand.
The main technical difference of the JAC T9 Urban will be a new rear multi-link suspension. It should significantly improve ride and handling, especially during everyday driving. In addition, the Urban version will receive electronic control of the all-wheel drive system, as well as a new option for the model - a forced locking of the rear differential, which expands the off-road potential of the pickup.
As a reminder, in 2025, a diesel version of the JAC T9 with a 163 hp engine and 410 Nm of torque, working in tandem with an 8-speed automatic, already appeared on the Russian market. The gasoline version is equipped with a 2-liter turbocharged engine with 224 hp, which is also combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new Urban version should occupy a niche of a more versatile and comfortable pickup for the city and travel.
