According to Rosstat, 591,000 passenger cars rolled off Russian assembly lines in the 11 months of 2025, which is 12.6% less than in the same period of 2024. In November, production amounted to only 54,100 vehicles, a decrease of 34.1% compared to last year.
The cargo segment is also showing a decline: 119,000 trucks were produced in January–November, which is 32.8% lower than last year's figure, and in November – 9,900, minus 43%. At the same time, some enterprises are reporting positive news: Avtomobilnye Tekhnologii in the Kaluga region has reached full production speed, and the first prototype of the Atom electric vehicle has rolled off the assembly line in Moscow.
Among the new products of autumn are the launch of serial production of low-floor SIMAZ-4282 buses in Ulyanovsk and the assembly of the first 20 KAMAZ-54901 semi-trailer tractors in the Hi-tech configuration. Despite this, experts from the Autostat agency state that the Russian automotive industry has been showing a decline in production for the fourth consecutive month.
