The Japanese company Toyota has registered a trademark in Russia with the name of the popular Camry sedan. As indicated in the open database of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (FIPS), the trademark passed registration on December 23.
The copyright holder is Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha (also trading as Toyota Motor Corporation). The expiration date of the exclusive right is March 31, 2035.
The trademark was registered under class No. 12 of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICGS), which includes, among other things, passenger cars.
Since 2022, the Japanese company has filed more than 80 applications with Rospatent for trademark registration. As a reminder, in the same year, Toyota ceased official sales of cars in the Russian Federation.
