At the industrial site of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ), lines have been prepared for the production of a new model — the Sollers ST9 pickup, according to Alexey Russkikh, Governor of the Ulyanovsk Region.
The Governor clarified that support from the federal Industrial Development Fund was obtained to accelerate the launch of production.
We visited the UAZ industrial site and discussed modernization with the management. We inspected the lines where Sollers ST9 pickups will be produced. A plant for critical safety system components is also being prepared for opening. These are steering wheels, airbags, and seat belts.
