New Astana Motors plant launches production

Prices for locally assembled cars decrease from September 16

The multi-brand plant Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan (AMMKZ) has started operating in Kazakhstan, launching the production of Chery, Changan, and Haval cars. From September 16, the cost of these models has been reduced by 7-15%, depending on the configuration. Localization of production has reduced production costs, which has affected prices for consumers.

The plant is equipped with modern welding, painting, and assembly shops, where robotic and automated technologies from Bosch, Fanuc, Schneider, and Siemens are used. The production capacity of the enterprise reaches 120,000 cars per year. The plant also has warehouses for components and finished products, as well as a test site for quality control.

The total investment in the project amounted to 202 billion tenge (approximately 38.5 billion rubles).
