AvtoVAZ has temporarily suspended sales of Lada Largus station wagons and vans after identifying a possible defect in the steering system. According to one of the LADA dealers to the Lada.Online publication, about 5,000 cars were affected by the suspension.
The reason is related to a possible malfunction of the unit responsible for the operation of the power steering. The plant sent a notification to dealers about a temporary suspension of sales until a method for eliminating the defect is received. Repair instructions are expected in late October or early November.
After receiving the recommendations, dealerships will begin checking and servicing cars. Sales of Lada Largus are planned to resume before the end of November. The company clarified that cases of steering failure are isolated and are being worked out jointly with official dealers.
