The first units of the "Moskvich 5" crossover have begun to appear at Russian dealerships. According to "AvtoPotok", the official start of sales is scheduled for the near future, and the model's price will not exceed 2,000,000 rubles — this is the threshold currently appearing in preliminary information.
Previously, the "Moskvich 5" was used in a corporate fleet for test operation. The front-wheel-drive crossover is expected to be offered with two engines — 136 and 174 hp, both working in tandem with a CVT. The model is based on the JAC Sehol X6: a length of 4505 mm and a wheelbase of 2660 mm allow the new product to occupy an intermediate position between the "Moskvich 3" and "Moskvich 8".
In the future, the brand's lineup may expand with models based on MG cars — this possibility is already being considered.
