Skoda has unveiled a concept version of the classic Skoda 110 R, executed in the current Modern Solid corporate style. The author of the project is Richard Shvetz from the Skoda Design digital modeling team. The goal of the concept is to create a modern form with references to the original from the 1970s.
The concept stands out with its beautiful geometric lines, slightly inflated wheel arches, central wheel locks, a safety cage, and aerodynamic elements reminiscent of another milestone in the company's history - the Skoda 130 RS sports car. Solutions such as cameras instead of mirrors and the new Tech-loop light signature, similar to the one shown on the Octavia concept, refer to future production models of the brand.
The modern coupe is supposed to be an electric car: the air ducts behind the side windows can be used to cool the battery. According to the designer, the lack of need for a large cooling system made it possible to maintain concise and clean body surfaces.
