AvtoVAZ's flagship crossover, Lada Azimut, has won the "Best Industrial Design in Russia" award. The car received top marks not only from the expert council, but also from the public vote - the opinions of professionals and the public coincided.
The model won by a convincing margin, scoring 5515 votes and beating its closest competitor by 3581 votes.
We thank everyone who voted for Lada Azimut. This victory is not only a merit of our country's strongest design team, but also of the entire AvtoVAZ team, which is working on preparing the car for launch into mass production in 2026.
When choosing the winner, the expert jury was guided by strict criteria, including intersectoral significance, technological novelty, ergonomics, orientation to the global market, and artistic significance.
Lada Azimut demonstrated compliance with all these requirements, offering the market a fundamentally new design solution. Serial production of the model will appear on the market in 2026.
The crossover is declared to have 1.6 and 1.8 liter engines with 120 and 132 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT, respectively. The project also includes a 150 hp turbo engine and automatic transmission.
