Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ) has presented a new UAZ-128801 school bus, created on the basis of the Profi chassis. The model has already received official Vehicle Type Approval, which opens the way for mass production and sales.
The development and production of buses is carried out by a joint venture between UAZ and the Ulyanovsk company "Avtodom".
According to the documents, the bus is intended for school routes and cannot be used for commercial purposes. The UAZ-128801 cabin is offered in four layout options — from 11 to 14 seats.
One of them is allocated to an adult escort, and the second escort is located next to the driver. The technical part of the bus was designed for school transportation tasks.
The car is equipped with a ZMZ-409 gasoline engine and only all-wheel drive, which ensures stability and cross-country ability on roads of any type.
