The results of the "Newcomer of the Year 2025" automotive award were summed up in Moscow. Lada Iskra from AvtoVAZ became the absolute winner. The winners were determined by popular vote.
In addition to the title of "Absolute Newcomer of the Year", Lada Iskra also became the"Professionals' Choice" in the voting by the jury, consisting of journalists from leading automotive publications.
The Tank 400 SUV won in three nominations - "Family Newcomer of the Year", "Newcomer of the Year for Travel" and "Off-Road Newcomer of the Year".
In the "Parallel Newcomer of the Year" category, the Skoda Kodiaq became the best, and in the "Green Newcomer of the Year" category, the Avatr 11 electric crossover.
Lada Iskra was first shown to the public on June 5, 2024 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Sales of the car started on July 20, 2025 in three body types - sedan, station wagon and station wagon SW Cross. The model took a niche between Lada Granta and Lada Vesta.
