Russian motorists will face a serious tightening of the rules in the coming months. The authorities are preparing a package of initiatives that will expand the list of violations and increase fines for existing articles. Some bills have already passed the first reading in the State Duma, while others are being prepared for the second.
OSAGO
One of the main innovations will be the automatic detection of drivers without an OSAGO policy. Cameras will have the right to record such violations, and the information will be sent directly to the traffic police.
The fine is currently 500 rubles, but for a repeated violation, the driver will have to pay from 3 to 5 thousand rubles. The bill has already been supported by deputies in the first reading.
Loud Noise
The punishment for excessively noisy cars and motorcycles will also be tightened. The fine may be increased from 500 rubles to 5 thousand immediately.
"Loud" cars will be recorded by special "Efir" complexes, which are capable of determining the noise level remotely. The document is being finalized for the second reading.
Car Seats
Fines for transporting children without car seats will increase significantly. For drivers, sanctions will increase from 3 to 5 thousand rubles, for officials - from 25 to 50 thousand, and for legal entities the amount will increase to 200 thousand. The bill was adopted in the first reading in the fall.
Pit Bikes
A new punishment awaits pit bike drivers if they drive on public roads. The Ministry of Internal Affairs proposes to introduce a fine of 30 thousand rubles, motivating the initiative by the increase in accidents involving small-engine motorcycles.
Tinting
In addition, it is planned to close the loophole that allows avoiding responsibility for excessive tinting on cars registered outside the Customs Union. Currently, such cars do not fall under mandatory requirements. The new bill proposes a fixed fine of 500 rubles and is already ready for the first reading.
The set of changes can significantly affect the daily lives of drivers, strengthening control and increasing responsibility for violations related to road safety.
