AvtoVAZ is conducting a service campaign for the Lada Vesta NG family. Auto centers will, if necessary, update the firmware of the electronic steering lock module (ESCL).
This is one of the components of the keyless entry system, which is installed on the steering shaft instead of the mechanical ignition lock.
The steering wheel may блокироваться on Lada Vesta if the owner does not follow the vehicle's operating instructions. Currently, to stop the engine, you must wait at least five seconds before restarting.
If this is not done, the car will start, and the steering wheel may remain locked. With the new firmware version, such cases will not happen. All necessary work for Lada Vesta owners will be free of charge.
