The manufacturer AO "Romanov" has received type approval for vehicles and chassis for the BAZ truck line. Now the company is preparing for the serial production of equipment at the plant in St. Petersburg.
The BAZ plant is located in Shushary. The enterprise is already ready for launch: the production area is 20.9 thousand square meters, which allows production to be carried out in a full cycle — from development to testing and assembly.
The level of localization in production exceeds 90%, the company emphasized. In 2026, it is planned to produce 600 cars, and within three years — to increase the volume to 2 thousand trucks annually.
Under the BAZ brand, the company will produce a dump truck, a semi-trailer tractor and a flatbed platform. All cars will receive a 6×6 wheel formula and independent suspension. The layout is cabless, all the main components are of Russian production.
